EB-Lab · Lab manual
Environmental health in the neonatal period · exposure and perinatal health
Preface
EB-Lab (Estela Blanco, together with the ClimChange-NewbornHealth GitHub organization) focuses on environmental exposure and perinatal health in Chile and comparable settings. This manual summarizes how we collaborate, version analyses, and publish code so work stays reviewable and reproducible.
The manual evolves. If anything disagrees with the official contributor guidelines, follow that repository and suggest an update here via Source in the sidebar.
It draws inspiration from the Benjamin-Chung lab manual and modular resources such as Yale DSDE’s Book of Workshops.
How to use this manual
Each chapter is a quick decision or checklist before git push:
- Who should read it and when.
- Minimum standards before independent work.
- Links to guidelines and reference repositories.
For the Spanish edition, use Español in the top bar.
Scope
This manual does not replace institutional protocols (ethics, consent, administrative confidentiality, etc.). It does set minimum technical standards: clear README, MIT license, large data off-repo, relative paths.
